Free Santa Hat Pattern

Do you dread sewing too? High-five! Then you have came to the right place.

I keep the need for sewing in my patterns to the minimum!

All patterns are written in US crochet terms.

​

I used worsted weight yarn and 3mm hook, but feel free to use other types of yarn and the corresponding hook size.

​

All patterns are worked in continuous rounds, unless otherwise stated.

​

You are welcome to sell the finished products, but please credit me as the designer.

Santa Hat

In red colour yarn:

​

Round 1: magic ring with 6sc [6]

Round 2: (2sc, inc) x 2 [8]

Round 3: 8sc [8]

Round 4: (3sc, inc) x 2 [10]

Round 5: 10sc [10]

Round 6: (4sc, inc) x 2 [12]

Round 7: 12sc [12]

Round 8: (5sc, inc) x 2 [14]

Round 9: (3sc, inc, 3sc) x 2 [16]

Round 10: (7sc, inc) x 2 [18]

Round 11: (4sc, inc, 4sc) x 2 [20]

Round 12: (9sc, inc) x 2 [22]

Round 13: (5sc, inc, 5sc) x 2 [24]

Round 14: (11sc, inc) x 2 [26]

Round 15: (6sc, inc, 6sc) x 2 [28]

Fasten off. Cut yarn and hide yarn tail.

Abbreviations

ch: chain

sl st: slip stitch

sc: single crochet

dc: double crochet

inc: increase (2sc in one stitch)

FLO: front loop only

Brim (join rounds)

In white colour yarn:

​

Attach white yarn to the rim of the Santa Hat.

​

Round 1 - 3: ch2, 27dc [28]

Sl st to first stitch to join round.

​

Fasten off. Cut yarn and hide yarn tail.

Bobble

In white colour yarn:

​

Round 1: magic ring with 6sc [6]

Round 2: FLO 6sc [6]

​

Cut yarn, close hole and hide yarn tail.

​

Sew Bobble to the tip of the Santa Hat.
